So, tonight we went to Tom's 97th birthday party at the village pub. He had digital candles cos he's down wid da yoot...

We asked him what his secret was, and he said that he'd eaten more muck than everyone there - he was a miner for 47 years and each day his lunch was black with coal dust. That and a shot of whiskey with parsnip wine...

He's a great guy. Two years ago I blipped his 95th (http://www.blipfoto.com/entry/813334). I hope to blip his 99th too.
