Magical day

One of those wonderful days you never forget. We left Oban early on a day trip, first to the rugged and beautiful island of Mull. Next stop was Iona and a visit to the wonderful Abbey and ruins of a nunnery built around 1200.I wondered if I'd get up the steep steps from the boat onto the Island of Staffa but surprised myself and the effort was  so worth it to see the magical puffins, something I never dreamed of. They weren't at all concerned by the people so close to them and a stunning experience to see them in their natural environment.  A fabulous day in a wonderful part of the world.
