Tidal Road

Tidal Road is a Street in the Devon village of Aveton Gifford.

It runs alongside part of the River Avon, the mudflats and waters being rich in bird life.
Many a car gets caught out by the rising tide and has to be rescued.


This was on our way to The Oyster Shack restaurant where we had lunch.
Stifling 28° C heat but we were greeted by the staff bearing small, ice cold towels. Such luxury.
