Fire!

Heard lots of sirens this afternoon - sadly the moor above our village is on fire. The firefighters are desperately trying to control it, but are having to come down into the village to fill the tenders with water, and then dash back up onto the moor. They are trying to stop it spreading to nearby woodland, and then across the next bit of moorland towards St Ives Estate. The breeze isn’t helping. Fingers crossed they can get it under control before it reaches farms and houses. Some of the livestock are panicking too, and jumping into the main road. Not good.
