Dusty Miller

Silene coronaria to the Linnean afficianados and a plant that seems to have a myriad of English names. Dusty Miller always strikes me as the most evocative one. 
It has always been one of my favourite flowers and last year, a neighbour gave us one plant which has self seeded and provided quite a show this year.
Some form of peace has returned to the house with DS#2 and his mates leaving this morning. I am not sure Tricia would call it peace, still not feeling awfully well. "Consider it a crash diet" did not go down too well.
The football - England v Colombia - was magnificent in a bizarre way. Never easy to watch England play it was, a pleasure to see them win a penalty competition.
