From the window

One of the many joys of this first narrow boat experience has been the ever changing scenery. Waking up to this first thing was delightful. We went for a walk last night after we moored up, found a nice pub about a mile away, then came back and sat on the bank reading as it got dark. Just as we were going inside a plane display caught our eye over the other side: one plane with “ firework(?)” canisters on the wings doing a loop the loop and so making double patterns. Then as we fell asleep there was suddenly a firework display! R wasn’t convinced by me saying I’d arranged them for his birthday!
We headed back today. What an idyllic weekend.
