Rescue Helicopter Base - Botany Bay National Park

At the end of the road into the National Park is the Rescue Helicopter Base.
Usually the hangar will be open and one or two helicopters sitting inside, waiting for the call. This morning it was eerily quiet - no one on the base, and it was all closed up. Must be their day off.
While walking along the cliffs this morning, I came across a small steel plate fixed into the the clifftop. Strange place for a plaque I thought, out there on it's own, with no way of knowing that it's even there - until I read its message. It was in memory of a man who had been lost at sea, most likely in that area of the cliffs.
A good place for a helicopter base.
