Catton Park

Another early start for Catton Park. Nearly didn't go cos of the heat but the organisers brought forward the start time and provided water stations out on the course. We mostly walked it and there were a lot of shady bits. Buddy was brilliant and I even managed to load him solo to come home (first time in a while!). Ice cream van turned up just after I'd sloshed buddy off. Perfect timing!! Really glad I went.

Back at the yard, I was moving the electric fence. I'd disconnected the battery and was moving the posts and turned round and the battery was on fire!! Fortunately it was in the longer green grass but had it been on the dry patches it could have set the field alight. Totally freaked me out!! I managed to kick it over and roll it over enough to put the fire out. Reading up on why this happened sounds like I had a lucky escape!!
