Mates

Ernest shows courage.  He likes his mates and sticks with them, despite what the other herons may think.

In truth, these geese were swimming around the heron even though the pond is quite large.  Odd to see and it did make me smile.  This heron has his favourite pond and I see him there all the time...just rarely does he ignore me for an opportunity for a photo.  : )

A more relaxed day with a long walk by the lake....lovely.
