Swanning around

Not really, this week has been buuuuussy. Maths, maths, and more maths papers to adapt. Thursday was busy too, but I snatched a quick walk along the canal at lunchtime. The swans with their young'uns were hanging about hopefully. Sadly I had nothing to offer this juvenile who was 'begging' for something.

In the evening we took a long drive out to the People's Museum in Salford, to attend an Oxfam Live event. Learnt lots about Oxfam's work in Ghana, Kenya and Azerbaijan (water projects). One project worker talked about Oxfam's work in the UK. The link is to a newspaper report of their call for a Robin Hood tax, to help alleviate what they see as the Perfect Storm for poor people in this country. The Perfect Storm
