Renovations & Celebratons
Gwnaethon ni gweithio yn galed iawn heddiw. Roedd rhaid i ni lanhau'r stabl sy rydyn ni'n defnyddio fel cegin ar ein henciliadau. Roedd rhaid i ni fynd â phopeth y tu allan - mae'r unedau cegin i gyd - ac yn glanhau a phaentio'r ystafell a glanhau'r unedau hefyd. Roeddwn i adeiladu plinth yn y gegin oherwydd y roedden ni mynd i rhoi'r unedau ar blinth pan fyddwn ni'n rhoi nhw yn ôl i'r gegin.
Dechreuon ni ar hanner wedi wyth a gorffennon ni ar ôl chwech yn y noswaith gyda dim ond brecinio ar un ar ddeg.
Ar ddiwedd y dydd roedden ni wedi glanhau'r waliau, trin nhw gyda phaent gwrth-ffwngaidd, a rhoi seliwr a dwy got paent hefyd. Roedd fy mhlinth yn bron yn barod. Doedd e ddim yn ddrwg am bump ohonon ni.
Yn y noson cawson ni barbeciw gyda llawer o gig, bara brown garw a llysiau - a gwin a chwrw hefyd. Roedden ni wedi blino lan ond hapus iawn ar ddiwedd y dydd. Eisteddon ni allan tra roedd yr haul yn mynd i lawr a chanodd yr adar.
We worked hard today. We had to clean up the stable that we use as a kitchen on our retreats. We had to take everything out - all the kitchen units - and also clean and paint the room and clean the units. I was building a plinth in the kitchen because we were going to put the units on a plinth when we put them back into the kitchen.
We started at half after eight and we finished after six in the evening with just a brunch at eleven.
At the end of the day we had cleaned the walls, treated them with anti-fungal paint, and also put a sealer on the wall and two coats of paint. My plinth was almost ready. It was not bad for five of us.
In the evening we had a barbecue with lots of meat, brown granary bread and vegetables - and wine and beer as well. We were tired but very happy at the end of the day. We sat outside while the sun was going down and the birds sang.
