Playing Possum

Had a bit of rain the last couple of days in Brisbane and the gutter was overflowing this morning due to leaves blocking it up. I climbed up the ladder to clean it out and spotted this little bloke - or girl, I didn't get close enough to check - sheltering from the rain under the roof on the back deck. Cute little thing and seemed happy enough, apart from being a bit cold and wet.

M took a look and was very excited - "can we see Poss?" was the refrain for the next few hours. Always great to see her getting excited about the little things in life.

All worked out pretty well in the end - saw him/her doing an underhand clamber along the telephone wire later on so obviously no dramas.

Always fun in Brissy - the wildlife gets pretty up close and personal here, as long as you avoid the nastys it's not too bad at all.
