Castlerigg stone circle

When I was in the Lake District in February I’d had a magical visit to castlerigg stone circle in the snow, with the stones entirely to myself for 40 minutes.

J said he’d never been - so we started our weekend away with a visit. Though unsurprisingly on a beautiful July Saturday it was heaving!
