Wandering

Woke up to a breakfast of pain au chocolat and croissants... I'll definitely be staying with Thibault again. After a casual chat about literature over breakfast, I headed out to explore Clermont again. Unfortunately I was distracted by shopping instead and ended up by two new jumpers and a purse. Having recieved my first salary seems like a perfect excuse to buy new knitwear, especially as it's starting to get pretty cold out here.

After my purchases I wandered through the town gardens, which is where I took this photo. After the journey home, I was surprised to see the air filled with hot air balloons. Not sure what was going on in Le Puy but it was certainly impressionant!

In the evening, I had been invited to dinner with Mathilde, another English teacher, and the other young teachers that I'm begining to be friends with - Ludovic, Elsa, and Julie. It was a really lovely evening but despite all my intentions to stop being shy, I barely said a word so I was very disappointed in myself. I don't want people to think I'm not having a good time, it's just hard for me to keep up with the conversation whilst adding input at the same time. Even so, I had a nice evening with good food, and the stories the teachers tell about their classes are all very funny. Got home at 2am, very much ready for bed, and all Frenched out!
