I learned a few things during my short trip along the riverbank.

My back is still knackered.

It’s practically impossible to stack stones with two dogs in tow.

The stacks you do make look more impressive from a lower angle. That’s especially true if you combine two photos of two separate stacks which survived long enough to grab a photo before the pug bashed into them.

Apart from that, the broadband guys spent a long and ultimately frustrating day trying to sort out our coverage across the bizarre network the previous owner had installed.

They’re coming back for another go tomorrow. Which will be fun as it will coincide with a big VELUX window being put into the roof in Eve’s room.
