Another memory that will stay with me is the morning after the Brexit vote happened. Boom. 
I was working at a congress, and the night before we made jokes about the idiots that would vote leave, and we were saying, this could never happen. Scene next morning, one of the others walked in with a big smile on his face, looked at me and said: What's up? I said: They voted leave, my face frozen. He threw his head back in laughter. Then looked at me. Stared at me. Sat down on the ground and put his head in his hands.
