Osprey Sculpture

Commissioned for the opening of the children's lido at Black Pill, the sculpture depicts two ospreys, (the osprey being the civic emblem of Swansea) one nesting, the other about to take off, made by Urban Strawberry Lunch. This company makes musical sculpture and it was designed so that children could play these by hitting with whatever is to hand, for example bat or shoe.

The lido area was busy with children enjoying the shallow pool with its fountains but no-one played the sculpture.
