forced myself out of the house today - just as the sun vanished :-( but still, there was this chap on a bench to photograph. there was a flock of long-tailed tits cheeping and flitting around this morning, and a righteously noisy blackbird, too. i caved in and bought birdseed.

now i must go and find pictures of a second world war aircraft carrier so my mother can make a card for an ex-pilot's 90th birthday. if we're lucky, some of the planes in some of the pictures might even be the right ones!
