the campaign trail

...local politics in the form of a convoy of auto-rickshaws noisily passing by the orphanage where i am currently running art labs in rural Andhra Pradesh. The "big kahuna", some local politico all decked out in white in a big car is surrounded with these guys strewing us with flower petals from the roof of various auto-rickshaws...as usual, being the only foreigner around, am "encouraged"shake his hand...last year by the same default of being the only foreigner around i found myself cutting a ribbon in an opening ceremony of a new hospital wing in the orphanage...who knows what tomorrow may bring...!
