A Bygone Age
A good day. Beautiful weather, good company, coffee and a scone in the Allendale Tea Room followed by lunch at The Cart Bog between Langley and Whitfield in the Allen Valley, Northumberland.
On route we passed 'Sillywrea' (meaning quiet corner) 200 acres farmed using 5 Clydesdale horses. It is reported to be the last horse powered farm in Britain. Right on cue as we passed was this rare sight. It just adds to the beauty of the area.
