Comma Butterfly - Polygonia c-album

Quite a bit cooler today but still very pleasant weather for a walk around the Millennium Wood at Castle Camps. There were masses of butterflies out and I spotted this Comma feeding on bramble blossom. The white comma that gives the butterfly its name is clearly visible on the rear underside of the wing...

Quite a lot of telephoning trying to fix an appointment for Margaret to have her eye injection this morning, nothing yet!
