And it's always more exciting if it means taking a ferry. We left the car at home and took the train from Edinburgh to Ardrossan via Glasgow. Then the Ferry across to Brodick on Arran. Glorious weather. To start with we were booked into a self-catering block right on the front, with lovely views of the bay.
