Kinettles Castle

Paid a visit to my lovely hairdresser in Carnoustie this afternoon and I drove all the way there!!  I did have TJ sitting beside me just in case, but the roads were quiet and the light was good, so I felt quite confident.  

Afterwards, we had lunch at the Corn Kist Coffee Shop at Carmyllie and enjoyed their House Special so much that we bought the ingredients to make it at home from the Farm Shop.  It involves a toastie with Stornoway Black Pudding and Caramalised Red Onion Chutney - yum:-)

The good light had gone by the time we came out and the sky was grey and cloudy, so TJ drove home and I was very glad he did when we encountered this big beast (see Extra) on the road:-)  Does anyone have any idea what it is?  We drove past the lovely Kinettles Castle and spotted a lone bagpiper tuning up his pipes at the gates, so assume there must be a wedding happening soon.

A very exciting phone call from the estate agent on our return home to say we had had an offer on our house at the full market value (i.e. over the asking price!) from the lovely viewer from Argyll who came on Sunday with her friend.  Of course, we accepted at once!  She will be returning with her husband on Sunday for another look, but he obviously trusts her judgement.  Sensible man:-)
