Calais

A long trip home!  Woke to much cooler overcast weather.  The Gare du Nord had had some sort of power cut and two Eurostar trains were cancelled outright - not ours , but we waited and waited for what seemed like hours and hours standing in queues.  

Once we moved we were among the first through and the train journey to England was fine except that I read my book and carried on as we did the English part of the trip.  Looked up and felt so sick!  I have a theory that there is a difference in the track in the two countries, giving the same train a different motion.  

We arrived in London well after our train to Bolton had left so another queue to get new tickets!  Free thanks to a stamp from Eurostar train manager.  Eventually we arrived in Bolton to find it still torrid!!  Especially the house!!

Looking forward to my own bed!!  Sorry but commenting still on hold!!  Love you all!
