Day Off

Day off and another lovely morning.
We went to Westport beach in the morning and had a long walk along towards Machrihanish. Fergus had a good run about on the beach, up to the dunes, and in and out of the sea.
As we were walking along to the seat at the back of the beach we came across a good length of coloured rope and nearer the seat we spotted a float.(see extras)
The float was in good condition and I gave it a rinse in the sea and then took it up to the seat. We sat for a while and watched the world go by.
To make it easier to carry we picked up the rope we had spotted earlier and fed it through the float and tied it up to make a long handle.
When we got back to the car park end of the beach there were a dozen or so surfers in the water and some people enjoying the beach.
The float plus rope in now hanging in the little patio area of our garden :-)

My sweep stake hope is still alive with France's win over Belgium.
