Down by the River side

On the wander today and ended up in small town called Huntly between Inverurie and Elgin.

Down to the river Devron and some great views of the river as it disappears from sight into private land. Very peaty coloured water and I presume this is due to the volume flowing down from the hills and stirring up the river bed.

I know that this river holds good trout fishing but not sure if just a couple of months ago the salmon were running past this point. I like to think so at it evokes a different feeling of the river to me.
