McEwan's "The best buy in beer"

The first full day of my weeks holiday, I am not quite starting as I mean to go on, but I do like this stuff !
I remember cans of McEwans in the house as a youngster.
How many of you out there remember the cans being made of mild steel and could only be bent in the middle with great force and strength?
I have memories of house parties when I waited in anticipation for empty cans to see if I could bend them, more often than not I couldn't.
I also have a vague memory of a can of PipersExport with the piper being cut out, flattened and set into a wee bit of rock as an ornament.
Childhood memories can be distorted with age, but our kids just give me a quizical look of disbelief when I tell them that I could not bend a can of beer as a wee 10 year old boy.
