Wide Wednesday: Battling Nature

Like most of Blackheath we got a visit from the weed inspector recently.
Mr isbi managed to remove most of the offenders himself but it gave us the incentive to attend to a few other problems like this oak tree which I have been worried might drop branches on the garage.
For some reason he didn't feel like going up himself with the chainsaw so we got the experts in.
It was like watching monkeys in the zoo, although I must say the three young men who turned up were considerably better looking ;-)
Quite fascinating to watch. The extra is a closer up shot, but being Wide Wednesday (thanks host BobsBlips) I've made this the main blip. 

PS. He climbed almost to the top of this tree to secure his rope. At least twice as far as he is from the roof here.
