Fittie (Not Footdee)

Today I went on one of the "Hidden Aberdeen" walking tours. This time it was around the Fittie area. Before we started we were told the correct name is Fittie, and not Footdee which was an incorrect interpretation of the name some time back. Still even if it is wrong it is now the "official" name of the area.

Lots of interesting facts as usual, too many to relate or remember. Throughout the period of the walk I kept my eye on the clouds which were getting ever darker. I was not dressed for rain, and it never arrived fortunately.

As Fittie was the subject of my walk it is also the subject of the Blip today.
