We went to Edinburgh today. Very quiet in the city centre.

Had some pig in a bun at Oink. It was not bad but could have been hotter and we never got any cracklin'. What's that all about.

I also popped in to the soon to close down Avalanche and it was a very depressing vibe.

There are so many reasons businesses are struggling but particularly independent music shops and particularly in Edinburgh officially the most inaccessible shopping destination in Britain.

I don't know what the solution is for these shops in an age where people download any music they want and don't even buy CDs anymore never mind vinyl.

There is hardly any value in second hand CDs these days.
