Print in the Club

In the winter of 1813 the British Army continued to garrison Quebec to stave of the ambitious Americans.    This is how a typical soldier of the 41st Regiment of Foot would have looked.

My great, great, great, great, grandfather John Ross was a non-commissioned officer with that force.  His infant son was baptised in French, and in short order came to be being repatriated to south-west Scotland.

Extra: Reggie.   It's been a fraught day.   Reggie was suddenly overtaken by severe pain and weakness in his right fore-leg.   He had to have a shot of morphine to sleep last night.

Today he has had a set of X-rays under anaesthetic.   The orthopaedic vet will phone tomorrow afternoon to discuss the results with #2.

Could be unrecognised trauma.   Could be a developmental issue - although they normally don't appear until 5-8 months.

He's only 10 weeks.
