Winter in Summer

On the way back from Birmingham, Len and I stopped at the Marks and Spencer food hall at Ashby de la Zouch to pick up a snack for the evening while watching the footy and to enjoy a cup of tea.

The a/c was deliciously cold.

Outside in the car park, the young trees that were planted to provide shade appeared to be in great distress as a result of the hot, dry weather. I don't know if the trees are still alive but the leaves have shrivelled and died. It might as well be winter.
