Avon-Heathcote Estuary from the Britten Reserve
A beautiful day today, if a bit cool after Colorado summer. I spent a lot of it outside, starting off in the dark this morning when I headed down to the estuary. But the light was nice late afternoon, so I walked up to the top of the Britten Reserve. In between times we have been over to Diamond Harbour, and re-potted a couple of orchids that have been attacked by snails that were hiding in among cyclamen foliage. One of these plants has now been relegated to the shade house, and the other carefully inspected for any more marauding pests.
