Female Banded Demoiselle

It rained overnight so it was lovely and cool this morning although it go hotter as the day went on.

This afternoon I went for a walk along the canal near where I live. There were very few boats and I didn't meet anyone on the towpath but there were plenty of things to see. There were lots of wild flowers, seven types of butterfly and plenty of insects including this female Banded Demoiselle (the male is bright blue).
