When in Newcastle...

It's still a glorious structure, and I just love the way it sends the road through/over the buildings on the Newcastle side with complete disregard.

We'd gone in search of the much vaunted "Exhibition of the North" - a series of exhibitions celebrating 'North' England (where 'North' seems to start around Birmingham).  Somewhat underwhelmed by the exhibitions we did get to see, and especially so by the guidebook which was impressively useless.  

"That exhibition looks fun, where is it?" 
"The Mining Institute."
"Where's that?"
"Ahhh, not on the map."
"What does that listing say?"
" 'See website' ."
