Second Army Thanksgiving Service Order of Service

I found this at an antiques fair. The badges are the unit insignia for Corps, Divisions and Independent Armoured Brigades in 2nd Army between 6th June and 5th May 1945, "The Campaign in North West Europe". Interesting that the end date given is 5th May when VE day is the 8th. I now understand (from the internet of course) that Montgomery took the unconditional surrender of German forces in North West Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands on the 4th.

My Grandfather was in the Royal Engineers and I am (slowly) trying to piece together his war record.
