Portrait Photography <3
Today I ran my last photography course of the year. It feels like quite a big thing right now as a I write this!
I started up in full time business in February with the intention to teach photography courses. I have to say, for first year (well first 6 months really) in business, it has gone really well. I of course have made mistakes and should have thought about different things, but we are human.
My last class was a great one. It was with my "resident" model now - Olley Edwards - who has helped this portrait session tremendously over the few that we have done since February. I always have Olley for the first part, then another modelly type for the second half. Second model today was Gareth - Olley's beau!
They worked so well together; such a pleasure to be able to work with such easy going people. My lovely delegate from today was great as well and the images he took were incredible.
After getting all the images on the Mac and sorting them in LR4, I have 220 keeps that I want to edit. This one from today is a favourite! Beautiful image of such an intimate moment.
So, it feels like a bit of an end of chapter. It is not an end of era; as there is going to be plenty of courses in 2013 - including holiday course to Paris or Milan - haven't decided yet!
For now though until March / April time; I am going to rehaul the structure of the courses and do more planning to make them really polished. Also in talks with the owners of a Tudor mansion nearby to hire out rooms - this could possibly be the new home of Stephanie Summers Photography!
See more images of Olley and Gareth here over the next few days - More pics here .....
