Neglected art

Fel arfer, pan rydw i'n mynd am dro dros amser cinio, rydw i'n mynd i'r parc - fel arfer Gerddi Alexandra. Heddiw roeddwn i'n meddwl y byddwn i wneud rhywbeth gwahanol a mynd yn y cyfeiriad cyferbyn. Os dych chi'n cerdded i Cathays dydy e ddim llawer o barciau yna. Yn lle hynny mae yna hen strydoedd teras ac ychydig o siopau a bwytai diddorol. Mae'r hen bont dros y rheilffordd ac mae e'n ymuno Cathays gyda Phlasnewydd a'r Rhath. Mae rhai o graffiti ar y bont ac mae'r ardal o gwmpas yn teimlo wedi'i esgeuluso. Gwnes i fwynhau ymweld â strydoedd Cathays ond roedd e'n amhosib ffeindio rhywle tawel i eistedd am funud. Mae e angen mwy o seddi neu rhai o leoedd gwyrdd. Rydw i'n meddwl y bydd i'n mynd yn ôl i ymweld â'r siopau diddorol - yn arbennig y siopau Tsieineaidd a Coreaidd


Usually, when I'm going for a walk at lunchtime, I go to the park - usually Alexandra Gardens. Today I thought I would do something different and go in the opposite direction. If you go to Cathays, there are not a lot of parks there. Instead there are old terrace streets and a few interesting shops and restaurants. There is an old bridge over the railway line and it joins Cathays with Plasnewydd and Roath. There are some graffiti on the bridge and the surrounding area feels neglected. I enjoyed visiting Cathays streets but it was impossible to find somewhere quiet to sit for a minute. It needs more seats or some green spaces. I think I'll go back to visit the interesting shops - especially the Chinese and Korean stores
