Watch the overhang
This was a street at Happisburgh (pronounced Hazeburruh) in north Norfolk, unhappily though subject to drastic coastal erosion. The double yellow lines prohibit parking. This bit was summarily amputated in December 2013 as a result of the North Sea surge as it came to be known. A very high tide, strong onshore gales and a very low pressure system caused the storm.
Buildings and streets have gone as have other whole villages along this coast over previous years. The posts in the sea are the remnants of sea defences. Photo is a result of 10 exposures merged in camera done to soften the movement of the waves.
The extra shows a view of the cliffs, more sea defences in the shape of big boulders, a yellow sign announcing "DANGER" and is a long exposure shot (100 seconds). I thought it had some dubious artistic merit but does not tell such a graphic story as the main photo.
