Knole
Today was C's birthday so I got up early to make the apple crumble. A simple recipe you might think. Not for me this morning! I managed to to burn the apples beyond salvation. No crumble for C.
Luckily the National Trust membership was less vulnerable to my early morning efforts and C was pleased. We went to Knole Park which is one of my favourite places to walk. It was stunning with the Autumn colours. We had tea, sandwhiches and cake and wandered the grounds. We saw deer, parakeets and chased a pair of green woodpeckers.
I liked this deer very much. It seemed quite unafraid of me and I liked the noise of it scrottsing the grass.
