We have just returned after an over night trip up to Auckland. It is such a huge international city it was, for us, like having a trip overseas. We saw an art installation called "Manifesto" created by Julian Rosefeldt at the Auckland Art Gallery. It features Kate Blanchett on 13 different screens playing at the the same time as it draws on the musings of various artists.Quite intense but thought provoking. When we came out it was lunch time and we spotted a little noodle bar. An indication of the Asian influence in the city was that the menu was in Chinese,not English! There was a menu with some pictures on and a few English words. I declined the "chubby sheep" and "chicken knees" . I'm not actually sure what I got but it tasted very good.
