Cicada killer

This monster is a cicada killer wasp. Not sure it comes out in the photo, but the body is around 2 inches long. Luckily Will came across this beastie cutting the grass and it was already dead. In the summer they live off nectar and don't tend to sting people unless provoked. If you are a cicada all bets are off.....

Tomorrow I pickup Charlie for a weekend visit.
