Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Just installed, the 1.6 million dollar, 94 foot high rainbow in the Sony Studios, Culver City, Los Angeles. 10,000 pounds of steel. Situated beside the Thalberg Building, built in 1938, World HQ of Columbia Pictures.

On a Behind the Scenes tour at Sony Studios. We saw at least a dozen Oscars, visited the set of the "Wheel of Fortune", a sound effects studio, saw the original Ghostbusters vehicles, and learnt quite a few tricks of the trade when it comes to film sets and effects. Photography was restricted in many areas, due to current film locations.

From here we went to The Grove for some quality shopping, and from the rooftop car park got some great shots over to the "Hollywood" landmark sign and the high rises Downtown.
