Foxgloves
I think these are digitalis ferruginea. The flowers are a browny-yellow, with touches of raw sienna, and the bees seem to like them. They seed themselves around, as foxgloves do, so once you have them all you need to do each spring is take out any in the wrong place and leave the rest. They seem to be even more resistant to drought than digitalis purpurea, and to carry their flowers for longer too, so may well be booking themselves a permanent place in the garden in future.
Finally, this phase of exterior decoration is finished. There's more to do, but it'll wait until early autumn.
