church fete

The sunshine and heat returns with avengence!!

The local church had its' summer fete today so mum and I wandered along for an hour or so.  There weren't so many stalls to look at which was a shame but I was more than happy just looking at the book stall - bought none! - and the plant stall - bought 3!, as well as having a cuppa and winning bottles of white rum and schloer on the bottle stall! A successful morning!

Now for an afternoon of sport watching and reading in the shade! Also had fun rescuing a peacock butterfly from the house as he wandered off his flight path! At least I know they're about! Hopefully I'll be ready with my camera for him next time!!
