Why would you decide to build a Viking replica boat, from scratch, all by hand?

Hmmm, because you can, to prove your skill as a craftsman? That and you see a team building business opportunity when you can spend the day as a Viking.

Will it work? I have no idea but it is a pretty impressive example of craftsmanship is it not.
