I'm busily pulling off bindweed from other plants upon which it climbs with vigour and ferocity but I couldn't resist these candy striped ones growing right aby the edge of the road, According to Witchipedia (who knew??) it's an excellent purgative, good for menstrual problems and effective against spider bites. Part of the convolvulus family.
