Walking the line(s)

An incredibly frustrating day at Mendlesham. An unusual number of issues with broken lines, coupled with being right on the edge of the sea air, made for a very slow turnaround and late escapes.

Almost away on my first tow from a satisfying low height. More successful on my second, stumbling into a strong tight climb to ride out and just clear the mast crow's nest (left of picture).

Unfortunately on my first glide I forgot about the boundary conditions and strayed too far down into what would have been the sea air. My shortest xc for a very long time! Grateful to have had the opportunity unlike other pilots who missed out though.
