The peacefulness of lavender

Busy gardening today so my blip for today is the lavender hedge we planted three years ago - it's thrived after being cut back harshly at the end of summer.

Always lovely to see flowers in winter, but there is something quietly soothing and peaceful about lavender, maybe the colours, the scent, the gentle caressing from bees, whatever it is I always like to have lavender in the garden.
