Tiny Red Spiders

This is a Colorado Blue Columbine, our state flower.  Pipersdad spotted it growing by the roadside while we were out on a drive today.  I didn't notice the spiders until I saw the image on the computer.  They are really super tiny!

I am grateful that we spent a lot of time enjoying this area before about 85% of the trees were killed by Mountain Pine Beetles.  It is so sad to see hillsides covered with standing dead trees.  :'(
